Dr. Alex Daugherty

Dr. Alex Daugherty was born and raised in Homewood, Alabama, and has always had a deep love for his home state. After graduating from Auburn University — War Eagle! — with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Daugherty earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the UAB School of Dentistry.

Committed to providing the highest level of care for his patients, Dr. Daugherty completed a one-year General Practice Residency at UAB Hospital following dental school. During his residency, he received advanced training in comprehensive general dentistry, the management of medically complex patients, and specialized surgical procedures — giving him a well-rounded foundation that allows him to confidently and compassionately treat patients of all backgrounds and needs.

Dr. Daugherty believes that great dentistry starts with great relationships. He takes pride in getting to know each patient as an individual, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment where people feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. His goal is not just to treat teeth — it’s to be a trusted partner in your long-term oral health.

Outside of the office, Dr. Daugherty is happiest when he’s cooking up something new in the kitchen, exploring the great outdoors, or picking up his guitar. Those who know him best say his easygoing personality and genuine warmth make him as easy to talk to as he is to trust.

Dr. Daugherty is thrilled to be joining the Madison Dental Care family and looks forward to serving the Madison community for years to come.
